70-year-old woman killed in aggressive bee attack in Homa Bay on July 2

A 70-year-old woman was killed by a swarm of bees at Ratang’a Trading Centre in Central Kwabwai location, Ndhiwa Sub-county of Homa Bay County. Anastasia Bunde Oyugi was killed after a swarm of bees attacked her as she was passing near a bee hive at a solar light post. Oyugi sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a private health facility but succumbed during treatment. Kwabwai Central Location Chief George Olang’o said that the bees were probably provoked by a tractor that was maintaining the feeder road near the market.
