At least Ksh. 70 million was received from the sale of properties belonging to former Migori Governor Okoth Obado and former Nairobi County Treasury boss Stephen Ogaga Osiro to recover funds looted from the county. The Ethics and Anti-CorruptionCommission auctioned a three-bedroom Riara apartment for Ksh.14 million, three residential units within Greenspan Estate valued between Ksh.6.7 million and Ksh.11 million each, and a Loresho Ridge townhouse that fetched Ksh.31 million on Thursday, October 9. Obodo and his close allies were accused of looting more than Ksh.1.9 billion from the county. Obado, however, reached a settlement with EACC to surrender properties worth Ksh. 428 million.
