Fake College: 4 arrested for running fake university, issuing bogus Masters and PhD degrees

Four people were arrested on Thursday, February 13 for issuing fake master's and PhD degrees and operating a university without accreditation at the White Sands Hotel in Mombasa County. American Dayis Lawrence Bennett, Farah Akab of Pakistani, and Ekra Ndung'u and Josephine Ndune, both Kenyans, were caught issuing certifications to three-day students. The four, among them two foreign nationals, were arrested by officers from Bamburi Police Station. The degrees included three Master of Business Administration (Leadership and Management) and two PhDs in Leadership. The four denied the charges and were each released on Kshs.400,000 bond with a surety of the same or a cash bail of Kshs.300,000.
