Fire destroys Rangwe MP Lilian Gogo’s rural home in Kotieno Village

Rangwe Member of Parliament Lilian Gogo’s rural home was gutted by fire. The MP, who was not at her Kotieno Village home at the time, lost property of unknown value in the fire that started in the morning of Saturday, October 18. Rangwe Police Commander Magdaline Chebet said that the police and neighbors responded to the fire but were unable to get into the compound because the gate was locked. Gogo said that she was in Kisumu for Raila Odinga's funeral arrangements when the fire started. She called for a speedy investigation.
