Form 3 girl found murdered inside KBC compound in Yala

A Form three student was on Tuesday, May 27 found dead at the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation compound in Nyamninia, Yala, Siaya County. The body of the partially clothed 17-year-old girl was discovered by students on their way to school who raised alarm. Police said the girl had left home for school at 5:30 a.m. but was found dead. The body dumped in a bush roughly 300 meters away, with her undergarments removed. Authorities in the area suspect that the girl was raped before being killed. Gem Yala Sub-County Police Commander Charles Wafula said officers from Yala Police Station arrived at the scene and took the body to the Yala Sub-County hospital mortuary. A similar incident occurred in Mindhine village where an 18-year-old Form Four girl was found raped and murdered on her way to school.
