Former Kisumu Town West MP Kenn Nyagudi is dead

Former Kisumu Town Member of Parliament Kenn Nyagudi died on Sunday, March 23 at Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi. Nyagudi was first elected to Parliament in the 2004 by-election after the Joab Omino of the Liberal Democratic Party. Nyagudi received 8,185 votes, defeating KANU’s Shem Onyango who garnered 6,852 votes and FORD-People’s Orie Rogo Manduli who received 683 votes. Nyagudi lost the seat in the 2007 general election to Olago Aluoch. In 2013, he made another attempt at politics, contesting for the Kisumu Central MP seat but lost to Ken Obura. He started large scale farming in Gem, Siaya until his death.
