Kalonzo Musyoka Takes Over Azimio, Eyes 2027 Presidential Race

Wiper Party leader and Azimio la Umoja One Kenya co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka has taken control of the coalition and will vie for the presidency in 2027. The former president said he is ready for a battle with President William Ruto, accusing him of using the recently found friendship with Raila Odinga to advance his political ambitions in Nyanza. "Watu wamesema Wiper leader will be in the ballot in 2027 within Azimio as it will be and as it is even now. People have agreed,” said Kalonzo. Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni said Kalonzo will lead operation Okoa Kenya. He added that the former vice will be “official opposition leader.”
