President Ruto appoints Ambassador Ida Odinga as Kenyan permanent representative to UNEP

Ida Odinga has been officially appointed as Kenyan permanent representative to the United Nations Environment Program. President William Ruto made the formal announcement in a gazette notice issued on Saturday, February 27. Ida Odinga’s nomination was approved on February 24 by the National Assembly’s Departmental Committee on Defense Intelligence and Foreign Relations. Ida appeared before the committee on February 20, where she outlined her priorities and vision for Kenya’s engagement with the global environmental body.
