Raila Odinga personal bodyguard dies at Nairobi West Hospital

A long-serving bodyguard of Raila Odinga has died. George Odiwuor has worked for the former prime minister and ODM party leader since early 1990s. Odiwuor has been unwell and was receiving treatment. Raila announced the death, saying he was “shocked and sad” to lose his personal aide and bodyguard after a short illness. George has been a part of Jaramogi's and my family since the late 80's. We have stood, fallen, and risen together. Raila said Oduor was a vigilant, calm, confident, and extremely professional aide dedicated to duty. He added that Oduor was dependable rock on his side for many years through tumultuous periods. “We have stood, fallen, and risen together,” Raila said in his official X account.
