Ruto names 14 new principal secretaries in government shakeup

President William Ruto has named 14 new Principal Secretaries and transferred at least six others in a moved the government said will harness opportunities within the new economic sectors. The appointments must be approved by Parliament. Dr. Jane Kare Imbunya was nominated as the principal secretary of the State Department for Public Service & Human Capital Development, Ministry of Public Service and Human Capital. Regina Akoth Ombam was picked for the State Department for Trade Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry. Cyrell Wagunda Odede will be the new principal secretary for the State Department for Public Investments & Assets Management in The National Treasury & Economic Planning. Dr. Caroline Wanjiru Karugu, will head the State Department for East African Community Affairs. Dr. Oluga Fredrick Ouma was nominated to the State Department for Medical Services in the Ministry of Health. Ahmed Abdisalan Ibrahim heads to the State Department for National Government Co-ordination in the Office of the Prime Cabinet-Secretary. Stephen Isaboke will beat the State Department for Broadcasting & Telecommunications in the Ministry of Information, Communication & Digital Economy. Michael Lenasalon was picked for state Department for Devolution in the Office of the Deputy President. Fikirini Katoi Kahindi Jacobs was nominated to the State Department for Youth Affairs in the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Carren Ageng'o Achieng will go to the State Department for Children Welfare Services in the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. Aden Abdi Millah was picked for the State Department for Shipping & Maritime Affairs in the Ministry of Mining, Blue Economy & Maritime Affairs. Judith Naiyai Pareno is the principal secretary for Justice, Human Rights & Constitutional Affairs in the Office of the Attorney General & State Department for Justice. Dr. Bonface Makokha is the secretary in the State Department for Economic Planning at The National Treasury & Economic Planning. Prof. Abdulrazak Shaukat, nominated principal secretary in the State Department for Science, Research & Innovation in the Ministry of Education.
