Youth leader murdered in Suba South Constituency

Police in Suba South are investigating the murder of a local political operative and youth leader who was killed in his bedroom in Miramba Village, Nyandiwa in Gwasi. Benson Ondiala, 35, was killed by unknown assailants who attacked him with pangas and knives the night of Friday, January 31. Ondiala was a youth leader and businessman in Nyandiwa Center. He was engaged in a number of community activities. Ondiala most recently organized Miramba Annual Tournament in December. A local political aspirant Lillian Ngala said she was deeply heartbroken by the tragic loss. “Benson was not just a businessman; he was a pillar of his community. Hardworking, visionary, and selfless, he dedicated himself to up,” Ngala said. Area MP Caroli Omondi also sent a message of condolence to Ondiala’s family, saying the family deserves justice “and it will be done.”
