Central police OCS Samson Talaam, 5 other officers charged in Albert Ojwang murder

Officer Commanding Nairobi Central police station Samson Talaam has been charged in the death of former teacher and blogger Albert Ojwang. Also facing murder charges are officers John Mukhawana, Peter Kimani, John Ngige Gitau, Gin Ammitou Abwao and Brian Mwaniki Niue. The six police officers appeared before Justice Diana Kavedza in Kibera High Court. Ojwang was killed on the night of June 7 and 8, 2025 at the Central Police Station.He was arrested at his father’s home in Homa Bay County and driven to Nairobi by officers who accused him of defaming the Deputy Inspector General of Police Eliud Langat.
