Harold Kimuge Kipchumba replaces Minister John Mbadi as ODM nominated Member of Parliament

Former ODM party chairman and current Minister for Finance John Mbadi was replaced as the nominated Member of Parliament. Mbadi, who had resigned after President William Ruto picked him to be the Cabinet Secretary for Treasury in the broad-based government, was replaced by Harold Kimunge Kipchumba. Mbadi had been nominated by ODM under the workers' category. Kipchumba, also of ODM, has been nominated to represent people with disability. Mbadi was nominated to Parliament after the 2022 general elections when he withdrew from Homa Bay County governor’s race to support Governor Gladys Wanga. Bandi was previously Member of Parliament for Suba South Constituency. The seat is held by Caroli Omondi.
