Internal Security Principal Secretary Ray Omollo lauds social health insurance Taifa Care

The successful implementation of the social health insurance fund will alleviate legislators' burden of fund drives for medical bills, Principal Secretary for Interior Dr. Raymond Omollo. Omollo said the new health program will help people at all levels, including those in the villages. Omollo said that most families have been forced into poverty after exhausting their savings and even selling their property just to take care of their ailing members, something that the new fund, Taifa Care, is seeking to cure. Omollo spoke t Nina Primary School grounds in North Alego location, Siaya County. The meeting was attended by Attorney General Dorcas Oduor and Alego-Usonga MP Samwel Atandi and Nyando MP Jared Okello. Omollo emphasized that the new health scheme is designed to promote equity in the access to healthcare services for all citizens. He reassured the public that registration is still open and encouraged every Kenyan to seize the opportunity to be part of the universal health coverage.
