Lovesick Governor Okoth Obado denies killing pregnant girlfriend Sharon

Former Migori Governor Okoth Obado denied killing his pregnant lover Sharon Otieno, saying he was never involved in the murder. Obado testified that he was in a love relationship with Sharon. The former governor told Jjudge Justice Cecilia Githua on Wednesday, April 23 that he was not involved in Sharon’s murder. Sharon was killed in 2018 in Homa Bay County. Obado, his personal assistant Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero are accused of killing Sharon and her unborn baby. Obado said he did not kill Sharon nor conspired with others to kill his girlfriend. He said that his affair with Sharon was not a secret, adding that Sharon’s family knew about their relationship. Obado told the court that Sharon was his lover and that he was responsible for her pregnancy but was not willing to marry her. Obado added that his wife Hellen Adhiambo also was aware of his relationship with Sharon and had planned to catch them together in Kisumu during the 2018 Devolution Conference.
