Moses Omondi of ODM defeats 10 candidates to win Ugunja by-election

Former Ugunja Constituency Development Fund manager Moses Okoth of ODM won the by-election with 9,447 votes. Omondi defeated 10 other candidates in the race to replace Minister for Energy Opiyo Wandayi. The election was marked by low voter turnout. Only 15,017 of the 60,114 registered voters cast their ballots on November 27.
